I'm a 43 year old American that has been in Kenya for almost 7 years. I love to run. I was injured a few years ago and faced not being able to run again and it made me realize just how important running is to my everyday life. Thankfully I recovered and I try to enjoy every run I can take.
The attached GPX file is a run that I came up while training for the Lewa Marathon. It's a 13 mile loop in Nairobi from Karen (you could start it from the Hub) that winds through quiet Karen neighborhoods, bustling Karinde, then a long slow hill up through forests and the tinkling bells of sheep and goats before finally reaching the edge of the Rift Valley. The views are spectacular from the top.
