Start Time/Location: start time is 8:00am (prompt). We recommend arriving at the forest no later than 7:15am to allow time for parking and walking to the start
To avoid blocking the trail, we request participants to congregate in Amani Gardens. We have a group warm-up from 7:40am before walking to the start together
Forest Entry: forest entry is included in the entry fee. You must retain and present your race number for all five events in the season
By car, enter via Gate A (Limuru Road). Parking is available at KFEET or Amani Gardens. Pedestrians can also enter via Gate D (ICRAF Road)
Bag Drop: bag drop is available at the finish tent in Amani Gardens
Routes: route and GPX files are available on the following links: 3km, 5km, 10km. Turns are marked using reusable signage (no chalk)
Route Support: water and fruits are available around 2km/7km and at the finish. If carrying additional water, please note that single-use plastics are not permitted in Karura
Race Numbers and Medals: race numbers are ready and available for collection from Run Beyond. Please arrange collection of your number before attending your first event to avoid any issues entering the forest and to ensure that your time is recorded
Medals will be distributed at the final race of each season and available for collection from Run Beyond thereafter
Race Times: timing is recorded at the finish line only. Results are based on the gun time, so late starts will affect your result
Results: results for each event will be published the following day in the results archive. Series rankings are based on average time, with a minimum of three races completed
Replacement Numbers: lost race numbers can be replaced at Run Beyond for Ksh 300
Changing Distances: race distances are locked after the first race of each season and cannot be changed mid-season. Full-year entrants may request a distance change between Season 1 and Season 2
